3 Treatment Options for Enlarged Prostate

The selection of bph treatment depends on the intensity of the problem. There are many symptoms of the enlarged prostate like blood in your urine, dribbling, and frequent urination. In case you are having any such problem, it is recommended to consult a physician at the earliest possible. A qualified and experienced physician will suggest you the right treatment on the basis of your symptoms and after thoroughly examining the prostate. Medical history of the patient also plays a significant role in selecting the right treatment.

Available Medications
Common medications for prostate treatment are Finasteride and alpha blocker. The latter helps in relaxing the bladder walls, which in turn provides great amount of ease while urinating. This medicine helps to relieve some symptoms more than 75% of man who are undergoing enlarged prostate treatment. After taking this medicine, within a couple of days, the patient will feel better. The amount of inconvenience will decrease while urinating, but medications do not reduce the size of the prostate and cannot protect men from a surgical procedure in the future.

Finasteride does not provide any immediate relief, but in long duration, it may help gradually. However, medications have severe side effects, erectile dysfunction (ED) and impotence, blood pressure and heart problems.

Herbal Medications
There are many herbs, which have an extraordinary curative effect and are used enlarged prostate treatment. The most common and widely used herb is saw palmetto. Since long they have been using this herb and it works well with any other prescribed medications. At the same time many clinical trials do not confirm the effectiveness of herbal therapies.

Natural treatment experts also suggest using pumpkin seeds, ginger root, zinc and liquorice root for bph treatment. New natural Thermobalancing therapy, enabled by Dr. Allen’s Device helps to terminate BPH by increasing blood circulation in  the prostate and reverses the process of prostate enlargement.

Other than treating prostate, kidney stone treatment can also be cured by herbs but only small sizes up to 3mm. These herbs help to move out the kidney stone with urine and finally curing the patient without any surgery.

Surgery
Surgery for enlarged prostate total costs differ, for instance, according to the research in the USA, “Cost Analysis of Surgical Approaches” (2012), holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) price were higher than transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP),  ($8380.00 vs. $5861.78, p < 0.05). Any prostate surgerye  is best suited for the people who want to go for a quick treatment option. The article ‘Growing Pains: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia,’ by Harvey B. Simon M.D., dated January 24, 2013, from Harvard Medical School, states that after TURP, early problems include infection or bleeding. Late complications include dry ejaculation (50% to 75%), ED (5% to 10%), and incontinence (1% to 3%). And since the prostate can enlarge again, up to 20% of TURP patients require more treatment within 10 years.

Kidney stone treatment and enlarged prostate are two body ailments in which recurrence is a common phenomena. Natural treatment has successfully cured both diseases with nullifying the recurrence possibility.
